‘Darr’ co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol are not best friends, but Shah Rukh Khan has done something to prove that there is not much distance between the two even during the Cold War. Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies has bought the rights to the remake of Sunny Deol’s blockbuster film Damini from its original producers Eli and Karim Morani.

However, when Shah Rukh told that Sunny Deol wanted to make a remake of this 1993 hit film with his son in the lead role, he did something for his co-star.

According to the Mumbai Mirror, a day before the lockdown, Shah Rukh Khan reached Sunny Deol’s Juhu bungalow, and Damini’s remake officials handed him over.

Darr had emerged as a memorable film for both of the actors’ career. But there was talk that there was tension between the two from this film. In a chat show, Sunny Deol had revealed that he was not told the storyline correctly and did not know that the villain would glorify in it. It said that there was no interaction between the two for a long time after that film. There was a time when Sunny Deol did not talk to Shah Rukh for 16 years.

During those years, Sunny Deol had made many statements against Shah Rukh Khan. The bitterness between the two started from the set of the movie Darr. Then Shah Rukh Khan was the only actor who paid a considerable amount to dance at weddings and private functions. Indirectly, Sunny Deol had told Filmfare, “Only Mujrevali dances at weddings, not actors. I think actors should maintain their dignity. It’s okay to dance at a friend’s wedding, but getting money to dance is cheap.”
